Howdy Manco!!

Linda Evans began her film career in 1960, on the t.v. series Bachelor Father, with John Forsythe. He wrote on her script, which was her first speaking part, that she was going to be somebody someday. She also appeared in a recurring role on the Ozzie and Harriet Nelson Show. She appeared as "Sugar Kane" in the silly 1960's film, Beach Blanket Bingo, but stardom was just around the corner. In 1965, she took on the role of the beautiful Audra Barkley on the 1965-1969 western series, The Big Valley. She married actor/photographer John Derek, who had previously been married to actress Ursula Andress and after the two split, he married Bo Derek, so I think the man knew a little about beauty. Her next series was the unsuccessful 1976 Hunter, then in 1980, she appeared opposite Steve McQueen in Tom Horn. In 1981, she took on the role she will probably be best remembered for, that of Krystal Carrington on the 1981-1989 hit series, Dynasty with her old friend John Forsythe. She was cast in another western, in the 1991 Kenny Rogers made for t.v. film, The Gambler Returns, Luck Of The Draw. Linda did her last acting in 1997 and it appears, she has retired from show business.
