Howdy Manco!!

Vera Miles' career began as the winner of the 1948 "Miss Kansas" beauty queen pageant. She first appeared in film in 1950 and very quickly caught the eyes of both John Ford and Alfred Hitchcock. Hitchcock promptly cast her in The Wrong Man and John Ford cast her in The Searchers. Hitchcock wanted to cast her in Vertigo with Jimmie Stewart, but she was pregnant at the time and lost the role to Kim Novak. Ford, once again cast her opposite John Wayne in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence and Hitchcock cast her in Psycho. She aslo appeared in The Hellfighters and The Green Berets with John Wayne and The Wild Country, Sergeant Ryker and The Charge At Feather River. although her scenes in The Green Berets were cut. .Miss Miles is without a doubt, one of the very best actresses ever and was terribly under utilized during her career. She continued acting, mostly in t.v., up untill 1995, when she retired from acting. I understand she lives in Palm Springs in her retirement.
Happy 83rd Birthday, Miss Miles.

Barbara Eden began acting in 1956 and appeared in Highway Patrol, Gunsmoke, I Love Lucy and many other t.v. series, until she was cast in the hit, 1960-1965 t.v. series, she will always be famous for, I Dream Of Jeannie with Larry Hagman. Married at one time to actor Michael Ansara, she has also appeared in Flaming Star with Elvis Presley, The Seven Faces Of .Dr Lao with Tony Randall and Harper Valley.

Bobby Diamond ( believe it or not, that's his REAL name) began his acting career in , The Greatest Show On Earth back in 1952. He began appearing on some the the popular t.v. series at the time, like Father Knows Best and Code 3, while also being cast in The Silver Whip, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes with Marilyn Monroe and To Hell And Back with Audie Murphy. It was in 1960, that he was cast in the role he will be best remembered for, as Joey Newton in the 1960-1965 t.v. series, Fury, with Peter Graves.
Bobby made the difficult transition from child actor to adult actor and continued with his film career until 1990.
