Howdy Manco!!

Born into the 19th century, Cecil.B.DeMille started on the ground floor of movie making. Some of his earlier films were silent, such as Squaw Man, but once sound came to theaters, DeMille began to demonstrate a flair for films on a grand sale, such as 2 of his earlier films, King Of Kings and Cleopatra. DeMille didn't work too well with individuals actors, but could direct thousands of extras with ease. When he couldn't get Victor Mature to wrestle with a lion in ,Samson And Delilah, he called him 100% yellow. It was his ability to direct large numbers of people and his penchant for extravagant movie sets, that set him apart. He will best remembered for the last 2 films he directed, The Greatest Show On Earth, for which he won an Academy Award and the 1956 epic, The Ten Commandments with Charleton Heston.

Jane Wyatt's career spanned 60 years, from 1934-1994. During that time, she appeared opposite some of the biggest names in Hollywood, such as Gregory Peck In Gentleman's Agreement and Cary Grant, in None But The Lonely Heart. Her most famous roles came later in her career, as the wife of Robert Young on the 50's hit t.v. series, Father Knows Best and as the mother of Leonard (Spock) Nimoy, on the 60's t.v. series, Star Trek.

Sam Fuller was a director of many military films during his career, perhaps because he was one of the P.O.W.s at Sokolov concentration camp during WW II. He directed Steel Helmet, Fixed Bayonets, Hell And High Water and Merrill's Marauders, but is probably better know for the 1980's war film, The Big Red One with Lee Marvin. His last film, White Dog, was shelved for years by the studio, because it was so controversial. I've seen it, it was a gritty realistic film and no more controversial than Mississippi Burning.

George Hamilton's first films of note, were Home From The Hills, All The Fine Young Cannibals and Where The Boys Are. He did a couple of memorable bio-films, as Hank Williams in Your Cheating Heart and as the daredevil, Evil Kneviel in the film of the same name. He has continued to work in film and snagged the role of Michael Corelone's lawyer in The Godfather III. Although he can play dramatic roles reasonably well, I, personally think his forte is light comedy, as in the comedy western, Zorro, The Gay Blade, in which he played dual roles.

Marjorie Reynolds appeared in a lot of B-movies, and some big budget movies, too. She sang White Christmas with Bing Crosby in Holiday Inn, was in some thrillers like Enemy Agent and Ministry of Fear, and some Westerns like Robin hood of the Pecos and Bad Men of Tombstone. She played the role of Peg Riley on TV's The Life of Riley.

John Derek starred in a few Westerns, like Fury at Showdown, The Outcast, and The Last Posse. He also appeared in movie like The Ten Commandments and Exodus. He's probably better known for being married to Ursula Andress, Linda Evans, and Bo Derek.

Casey Affleck isn't a Westerns actor, per se, but he played the dirty little coward who shot Mr. Howard in The Assassination of Jesse James.
