Howdy Manco!!

Lorna Gray Is an American actress whose career spanned 1937-1951. She appeared in numerous films, including westerns like Red River Range, Bullets For Rustlers and even appeared with John Wayne in the 1940's film, O My Darling Clementine. After 1945, she changed her name and went by the name, Adrian Booth. She is probably best remembered for a film she did with the 3 stooges called, You Natzy Spy and The Man The Couldn't Hang. She is 95 years old today!!

Marjorie Lord first showed up in film in 1937 and her career continued through 1988. Probably best known for Johnny Come Lately with James Cagney and Sherlock Holmes In Washington with Basil Rathbone, she also played the wife of Danny Thomas for 7 years on the 50's sitcom, Make Room For Daddy. She and actor John Archer are the parents of the beautiful actress Anne Archer.

Jason Robards .Jr was one of the finest actors, I've ever been priviledged to watch practice his craft. First appearing in 1937, his career stretched through 2000. The son of actor Jason Robards .Sr, he served in the military during WWII. Jason was awarded consecutive Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in 1976 and 1977 for All The President's Men and Julia. Not primarily thought of as a western actor, he nevertheless proved he could do them as well with his role of "Doc" Holliday in, Hour Of The Gun, and Sam Peckinpah's favorite film, The Ballad Of Cable Hogue. Jason even worked with the great Sergio Leone in Leone's masterpiece, Once Upon A Time In The West. His role of "Cheyenne" the good hearted outlaw is unforgettable.

What more can you say about actor James Best????? First appearing in 1950, he served as an M.P. in Germany, after WWII. I've watched him in The Quick Gun with Audie Murphy, as an Elvis Look-a-like guitar player on The Andy Griffith Show, as a brutal rapist in Firecreek and as a comic sidekick to Burt Reynolds in Hooper. He has done it all!!!! James has taught acting at the University Of Mississippi and Central Florida. He has taught acting to Quentin Tarentino and Clint Eastwood, Terri Garr and many other big name actors and actresses. It was James Best that encouraged Lindsay Wagner (The Bionic Woman), who used to babysit his children, to pursue acting. Good guy, villain. Sheriff, drunk, gunslinger, stuntman, teacher, and artist, he's done it all and is still acting in a film in post production today. He took on a role that was far beneath his talents in the 70's t.v. series, The Dukes Of Hazzard, as Sheriff Roscoe.P.Coltrane and it became the role he would become most famous for. In 2010, he moved from Charlotte to Hickory N.C., which is about 60-70 miles from where I live. I oughta drive down and knock on the ole boy's door and tell him, how much I've appreciated his career in film!!
