Howdy Manco!!

Sidney Blackmer was an American character actor, whose career spanned 1914-1971. He first appeared in The Perils Of Pauline in 1914. He is probably best remembered for portraying President Theodore Roosevelt in over a dozen films. Some of his films include, Heidi, with Shirley Temple, High Society, How To Murder Your Wife and a very evil neighbor in Rosemary's Baby.

James Anderson first showed up in an uncredited role in Sergeant York back in 1941. His career was mostly in t.v. westerns, in which he appeared in over 100. With his unshaven face and sinister appearance, he was a natural for western villains. He was so convincing, that he was cast in different roles on the same t.v. westerns, like Gunsmoke, Rawhide, Have Gun Will Travel, Laramie ect, many times. 2 of his films were released after hs death, The Ballad Of Cable Hogue and Little Big Man. Anderson will be best remembered as the redneck farmer, Bob Ewell, in To Kill A Mockingbird.

Manuel Padilla .Jr was a Mexican child actor, who appeared in 5 Tarzan Films and even had a recurring role on the t.v. series Tarzan. He will be best remembered for his roles in American Graffiti, Scarface and A Man Called Horse.

James Anderson made one of the best bad guys in the movie business. As Ed said, he will always be remembered for his menacing role in To Kill a Mockingbird. He was also responsible for Sterling Hayden being sent up as a guerrilla in a desert prison run by guerrilla hating Ward Bond. In the post-nuclear destruction cult film "Five" he played one of the five who was the bad guy. A great could hear and feel his evil as he spoke his lines and gave you his look. Gene Evans, who worked with him in the sci-fi oldie, Donovan's Brain, told us that he was "scary". He was able to put that across so well in his numerous characters...wether he was threatening Rex Allen, Audie Murphy or Kirk Douglas, as well as the countless TV heroes. His sister, Mary Anderson, was also an actress. He got sick and died on the set of Little Big Man.
