Howdy Manco!!

Actor Don Haggerty's resume reads exactly as it should, for this journeyman character actor. From 1951-1981, this actor appeared as Sheriff, Marshal, Cowboy, Rancher, Storekeeper, Clerk, Banker, Soldier and every role you can imagine in Have Gun Will Travel, The Lone Ranger, Hopalong Cassidy, Gunsmoke, Laramie, Colt .45., Tales Of Wells Fargo, Rawhide, Bonanza, The Legend Of Jesse James, Sugarfoot, Bat Masterson, Texas John Slaughter, The Guns Of Will Sonnett and every western on t.v. He also appeared in many other genres, like The Andy Griffith Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, Harry-O, Burke's Law, The Munsters, State Trooper and even had small roles in several big films, such as Night Of The Grizzly, Dirty Harry , Sands Of Iwo Jima etc. Haggerty will probably be best remembered for the 21 episodes of The Life And Legend Of Wyatt Earp, in which he played Marsh Murdoch.
A little trivia about Don Haggerty. He was being honored for his long career in film, by having his star placed on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, when it was discovered that the engraver had mistakenly misspelled his first name. Instead of "Don" Haggerty, the plaque read "Dan Haggerty. As we all know, "Dan" Haggerty was the star of the t.v. series, Grizzly Adams, so they had to replace the star!! Don Haggerty was never the big star, but without actors like him, our memories of the great films and t.v. series of the past, wouldn't seem so rich.
