Howdy Manco!!

Ian MacDonald's career began in the 1931 film, Madame Guillotine, but 10 years passed before he appeared in another film. He appeared as an uncredited soldier in the 1941 film, They Died With Their Boots On and his career in westerns took off. He was cast in The Silver Whip, Duel At Apache Wells, Stagecoach To Fury, The Man From Colorado, Ten Tall Men, Apache, Johnny Guitar and many others, while also appearing on several t.v. westerns like Tales Of Wells Fargo, Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, Trackdown, but it was in 1952, that MacDonald took on the role that would immortalize him in westerns. Coupled with 2 men, who would become famous for playing the meanest, most ornery villains in film, Lee Van Cleef and Robert.J. Wilke. MacDonald played the role of outlaw Frank Miller in the Academy Award winning film High Noon with Gary Cooper. Tex Ritter forever sealed the name and role of Frank Miller into western film history, with these lyrics,

Although your grievin,
I can't be leavin,
Until I shoot Frank Miller Dead.

Tall, dark and handsome Tony Young first appeared in the t.v. western series, Bronco, Lawman, Fury and Maverick in 1959. He next appeared as the star, Cord, in the short lived t.v. western series, Gunslinger. He was cast in the lead role in 2 western films with Dan Duryea, Taggart and He Rides Tall. From this point on, Young's career became that of a character actor on t.v. series, like General Hospital, Laramie, Wagon Train. Police Woman, Starsky And Hutch, Fantasy Island ect. His last role was on Quantum Leap in 1993. His career spanned 34 years, 1959-1993. Young died at the young age of 64 in 2002.
