Howdy Manco!!

Joe DeSantis was an Italian actor who appeared in films like, Cold Wind In August, Al Capone, I Want To Live and The Brotherhood. He also appeared in a made for t.v. film with Frank Sinatra titled, Contract On Cherry St. He had a recurring role on several t.v. series, lile Perry Mason, The Untouchables, 77 Sunset Strip, Mission Impossible etc. He was very adept at playing Mexican and Mafia characters.

Waylon Jennings was first and foremost, a country music singer. He recorded hits with Willie Nelson, Tompall Glazner, Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash during a singing career that saw him produce many many hit songs and albums. He did appear in a few films, like Nashville Rebel, All American Cowboy, Oklahoma City Dolls and the 3rd remake of Stagecoach , again with Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. He aslo did the instrumental and narration for The Dukes Of Hazzard t.v. series, in which they only showed his guitar and his hands. He later added another verse to the song for his concerts, which went,
Well, I'm a good ole boy
Ya'kno my mama loved me
But ya don't understand,
They keepa a showin my hands and not my face on t.v.
Jennings was also a member of the Buddy Holly Band, The Crickets, before Buddy Holly's unfortunate death in a plane crash in the 50's.

Jorge Rivero is a matinee idol in Mexico, having appeared in many Mexican films during his career. American audiences first saw him in Rio Lobo with John Wayne. He has also appeared in a couple of other westerns of note, such as Soldier Blue and The Last Hard Men with Charleton Heston.

Among others born on Flag Day:TV's Bat Masterson himself, Gene Barry; Deadwood's Molly Parker; and Dorothy McGuire, always watchable in any film she graced, including Old Yeller.

Whoops - got confused by the placement of this thread, which was put up before June 14 birthdays.
