Howdy Manco!!

Henry Brandon's career spanned over 50 years and although he only appeared in a handful of westerns, those he did appear in are memorable. He appeared in Two Rode Together, Under Texas Skies, Vera Cruz and played the role of Nate Champion in the 1955 episode of Stories Of The Century, but the role he will be best remembered for, is that of Scar in the classic, The Searchers.

For some reason, it has always been difficult for me to think of Robert Preston as a western actor, even though he appeared in several, like The Sundowners, Best Of The Badman and the western classic How The West Was Won, as the Wagon Master. He will probably be best remembered for his musicals, such as Mame, Victor Victoria and The Music Man.

Whenever I think of a gaunt, leathery, rawboned sharecropping sodbuster, I always think of Charles Tyner. He first showed up in the late 50's and has appeared in many of the t.v. westerns like Rawhide, High Chaparral etc, along with many good films like The Outlaw Josey Wales, Jeremiah Johnson, Lawman, and The Cowboys, but I think it is the role of Boss Higgins in Cool Hand Luke that he is best remembered for.

Dana Wynter was a petite beauty, who didn't appear in a western, until her last film, in 1973, in Santee with Glenn Ford. Better known for D-Day, The Sixth Of June with Robert Taylor, The List Of Adrian Messenger with George.C.Scott, Sink The Bismarck with Kenneth Moore and the one she will be best remembered for, The original Invasion Of The Body Snatchers.

Don Grady was a child actor, who has appeared in several t.v. westerns like The Restless Gun, Wagon Train, The Rifleman and Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater, but will probably be best remembered for the role of Robbie Douglas on the long running t.v. series, My Three Sons with Fred MacMurray and William Demarest. Grady is now pursuing a musical career.

Don Grady played in a lot of TV shows, but is most remembered as Robbie Douglas on My Three Sons.

Robert Preston showed up in several westerns early in his career. For me, Blood on the Moon is at the top of my favorites list and has one of the best two man bar room brawls in movie history.
