Howdy Manco!!

Marion Martin appeared in about a dozen films, in a career that lasted from 1934-1952. Two of her most memorable were Boomtown with Clark Gable and Lady Of Burlesque with Barbara Stanwyck. She will probably be best remembered for the two films she did with the Marx brothers, The Big Store and Merry Mavericks.

Authur Gardner is a former actor, who appeared as a student in the film, All Quite On The Western Front and then turned Hollywood producer with former Army Air Force buddies, Jules Levy and Arnold Laven. Their production group produced t.v. series like The Big Valley and The Rifleman. Gardner went on to produce films like McQ and Brannigan with John Wayne and The Scalphunters, Gator, Sam Whiskey, White Lightning and many more. Gardner is currently 101 years old.
Happy Birthday Authur and thanks for all the wonderful memories.

In a career that went from prize fighter, gas station attendant, card shark to straight man for comedian Jerry Lewis, singer, comedy show entertainer and actor, Dean Martin did it all with panache. He appeared in many western films, like Bandelero, Texas Across The River, The Sons Of Katie Elder, Rio Bravo, Rough Night In Jericho and then he became secret agent Matt Helm in the 007 spoofs. Not only could he act, but he had a wonderful singing voice, with hits like Volare, Goin Back To Houston, That's Amore and his t.v. show's theme, Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime. The guy could even do westerns songs, like My Rifle, My Pony And Me as he did in Rio Bravo. Celebrity, Comedian, Actor, Singer, the guy could do it all and DID IT ALL. What a career!!!!! Not bad for a beat up ole pugilist!!
