Howdy Manco!!

Fuzzy Knight was one of the great western sidekicks of the matinee films. He appeared in Home On The Range, Trigger Trail, Rimfire and over 120 other films in a career that spanned from 1929-1965. He was given his start in film by none other than the voluptuous Mae West. He became famous all over again, when he became the sidekick to Buster Crabbe in the 60's series, Captain Gallant And The Foreign Legion.

Pedro Armendariz was a Mexican actor and a favorite of John Ford. He appeared in 3 Ford films, The Fugitive, Fort Apache and 3 Godfathers. He was on the set of The Conqueror, which was filmed at St George, Utah, which was a former nuclear testing site. Over 90 of the over 200 that were there including John Wayne, Susan Hayward and Armendariz contracted cancer of one sort or the other within the next 25 years. Pilar Wayne refuted this in a statement and said that she believed it was because they were smokers. Armendariz made many other Mexican films under the direction of Emilio Fernandez and Delores Del Rio. His last film was , From Russia With Love and he was so ill, his last scenes were done by his double. Armendariz took his own life at the young age of 51, by gunshot.

Candice Bergen is an Academy Award Nominee for her work in films. She has appeared in such films as, The Sand Pebbles, The Wind And The Lion and Ghandi. She has made a couple of westerns, like Bite The Bullet, with Gene Hackman and James Coburn and The Hunting Party with Oliver Reed , but will probably be best remembered by fans for her t.v. series, Murphy Brown and her character on Boston Legal.

Pedro Armendariz was doubled in From Russia With Love by the film's director, Terence Young. At the wrap party for the film, Armendariz talked with Bond creator Ian Fleming about his cancer, and how Ernest Hemingway, whom they both admired, had committed suicide not long before after being diagnosed with an incurable disease. It was not long after that Armendariz did the same.
