Richard Carlson I remember from Creature From the Black Lagoon with Julie Adams. Played Col. Ranald McKenzie in McKenzie's Raiders, plus guest appearances on Rawhide, The Virginian, and Bonanza.

Fred Zinnemann won 2 Best Director Oscars: From Here to Eternity (1963) and A Man For All Seasons (1966). He directed the Western classic High Noon.

Tom Ewell is best remembered for co-starring in The Seven Year Itch with Marilyn Monroe. His Western work includes guest appearances on Wagon Train, The Virginian, and Alias Smith and Jones. He played the role of Doc Kullens on Best of the West.

Celeste Holm has had a long career (she's still acting at the age of 95!). Her one appearance on Zane Grey Theater gets her on our list.

Irvin Kershner directed the second film in George Lucas' original Star Wars trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back, as well as Sean Connery's 1983 return as James Bond in Never Say Never Again. He directed 35 episodes of The Rebel and The Return of a Man Called Horse.

Lane Smith is best remembered as Daily Planet Editor-in-Chief Perry White on Lois and Clark, and as the prosecutor in My Cousin Vinnie. He played in Rooster Cogburn and the TV movie The Court-Martial of George Armstrong Custer.

Daniel Day-Lewis is an Oscar winning actor for My Left Foot (1989) and There Will Be Blood (2007). He played Natty Bumpo in the 1992 version of Last of the Mohicans.

Eve Plumb is remembered as middle daughter Jan Brady on the Brady Bunch. Before that she appeared in 3 episodes of The Big Valley, and an episode each of The Virginian and Gunsmoke.

Don't forget Daniel Day-Lewis for his part in " The Last of the Mohicans" 1992. He does a terrific job in this movie. I really don't know him in any other movies.

Sandy, I think that's the only movie I seen him in, as well.

Y'all should check out some of DDL's other movies. He's a tremendous talent.

April 29 is birthdate to a lot of talented people! Among others are Duke Ellington (no Western credits that I can thing of but I had to mention him anyway; he did collaborate with "Bronze Buckaroo" Herb Jeffries) and my friend Tom, who's a big Clint Eastwood fan.

Just watched the Zane Grey Theatre with Celeste Holm yesterday. A good episode with five strong characters in the script, played by Celeste Holm, Eddie Albert, Peter Votrian, Richard Shannon & Denver Pyle.
Last of the Mohicans was a really good film...one of my favorites. Another good one with Daniel Day Lewis is Gangs of New York. And, if you watch very careful, you can catch him much younger in Richard Attenborough's "Gandhi." I didn't know he was in that one til I watched it again about a month ago.
