Howdy Manco!!

Joan Crawford was an Academy Award winning actress during the 40's and 50's. She was also married to the chairman of the Pepsi Cola company. With a set of shoulders like a straight board and her hawkish face, she was made for dramatic roles. She disinherited her 2 children, in her will and later her daughter wrote a tell all biography about her, titled Mommie Dearest, which eventually became a movie. Her feud with another film diva, Betty Davis was legendary. When Crawford died, Davis was heard to say" they say you shouldn't say anything but good about the dead. Joan Crawford is dead!! GOOD"!!

Louis L'Amour was a prolific writer of western novels. Born in 1908, he grew up in the closing years of the American west. He used many of the characters he met during his youth, to base his stories on. He wrote Hondo, Crossfire Trail, Conagher, Utah Blaine and many many more novels, which were made into films. One of the top 3 western writers of all time.

Karl Malden won his Academy Award for On The Waterfront, which starred Marlon Brando. He appeared in One Eyed Jacks, again with Brando, Nevada Smith, How The West Was Won and a few more westerns, but was better known for his dramatic roles in other films, like Patton. During the 70's, he had his own t.v. series, titled Streets Of San Francisco, which paired him with a very young Michael Douglas.

Virginia Grey made her debut in Uncle Tom's Cabin at the age of 10 years old. She had a long career, appearing in Flame Of The Barbary Coast. The Rose Tattoo, Wyoming, The Slaughter Trail, Another Thin Man, The Last Command and many others. She had an off again, on again affair with Clark Gable after the death of his wife, Carol Lombard, but they were never destined to be married. In her later career, she often appeared on t.v.

Kenneth Tobey made his film debut in a Hopalong Cassidy film. He appeared in Wings Of Eagles with John Wayne, McAuthur with Gregory Peck, 40 Guns To Apache Pass, The Beast From 20,00 Fathoms and more films that I can list here, but I will always remember him best from the 1951 film, The Thing From Another World (The Thing) with co-star James Arness as the monster.

M.Emmett Walsh is one of the most prolific supporting actors still going today. He as appeared in literally hundreds of movies and t.v. series during his career, including The Jerk, Blade Runner, Kid Blue, Little Big Man just to name a few of his many appearances in both media.

Jeff York played Joe Crane in The Saga of Andy Burnett on Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, and on Zorro. He was also Reno McKee in the series The Alaskans.

Anthony De Longis had a recurring role on Star Trek:Voyager, and is the voice of Marshal Leigh Johnson in the Red Dead Redemption video game.
