Howdy Pards!!

Happy Birthday to Corporal Agarn of F Troop and Texas Jack of The Great Race. 89 years old today. His role as Texas Jack in The Great Race is simply unforgettable. Along with Dorothy Provine, they stole that segment of the film from Tony Curtis and Natalie Wood. What a character!!!! " Now, will ya give a man some fightin room"??
Having said that famous line, he took a header out of a balcony room, that no longer had a balcony!!

Pierce Lyden is one of the nicest western badmen of the movies that I am honored to be able to call a dear friend. Hardly a week goes by that he doesn't pop up in one of our old movies or TV shows that we watch. A really nice guy. Happy birthday to you Pierce in whatever bit of mischief you might be stirring up in some heaven made western film.

Keep these threads going, Manco! You got me looking up these actors and actresses that I haven't heard of just by following the birthday threads. I like how you put the spaghetti western actors on Facebook, too!

Like you Tinhorn, I really enjoy Manco's thread on Spaghetti Western Actors on Facebook as well that is why I asked him if he would consider doing this for our forum. I see it is generating conversation which is good and like you it gets me to looking them up too see if I do know them in Westerns.

Thank you Tom (Manco) for doing this for us. It make's it fun.

Glad everyone is enjoying the posts. It was Sandy's idea. I'm in the same boat as most of you on the early western actors especially the women. I sometimes recognize their faces but seldom do their names mean much. Always nice to put a face to a name and learn a little history behind the actors we used to see in the '50s and '60s on an almost daily basis. Don't be afraid to add an actors name on their birthday if I've missed them as I can always add them to the post.
